Well, I was just skimming through the list of doujinshi, and something under "L" I never noticed before caught my eye. "Lupin III" I thought? Wasn't that the pretty cheesy anime from like the early 80's or something? Ayup, indeed it was, so out of pure curiosity, I read this one. Well, I have to say, considering the series died such a long time ago, I commend Off Side for giving it a shot. So how is it? Well... comparing it to the average doujin, its not too bad, but the strange shading and lines aren't too pretty. However, from what I got out of it, I'd have to say the story is better than some of the episodes of the actual show, even thought that isn't saying too much. Overall, its a novelty read and not much more, but pick it up if you liked the show back in the day, but if it was before your time (it shouldn't be TOO before or you shouldn't be on this site XD) I wouldn't reccomend it.

So many Fujiko dojins seem to be revenge fantasies on the part of the mangaka (and sometimes Lupin himself), and it's not surprising considering her usual haughty and sassy demeanor.
The artwork is appropriately old-school with pleasant shading, adequate respect for body structure & proportions, a style that fits well with the older Lupin manga & anime. You can expect lots of gang rape, some electro-torture, bondage & gagging and a bit of simple ol' two-thrust tango with a comically fat guy. If you're interested in the above mentioned activities I recommend you check this one out regardless of familiarity with the Lupin III series. Note: If you're a fan of rape and violence, feel free to ignore my "story" and "overall" ratings, because I'm not. |
