@Marien - yeah, it's weird. Looking at the raw, the other term used is newhalf, which I've always been under the impression was fairly interchangeable with and not neccesarily any more PC than shemale in Japan. It's odd to me that that distinction would be made.

I actually believe the trans woman in this doujin is a parody of the one in Tsukasa Hojo's (the creator of City Hunter) other manga, Family Compo. She's got strong resemblance regarding her hair, the mole under her left eye and of course, her dick. It's also mentioned a bit in the appendix.

In the original CH manga (anime episode 13) there is such a story (dealing with women kidnapping traffic) where Ryo falls in love with a pretty woman (the boss of the traffic organization), who turns out to be... a crossdressed man. Hilarity ensues.
Saeko is also heavily involved in the story, so I thought it was a kind of parody of that story.
The way Ryo is dealing with the bad guys is very CityHunter-esque actually. Only thing that is really different is that he never scored with Saeko at any time of the series :P
Last but not least, the art is rather faithful to Tsukasa Hojo (same with the Cat's Eye doujins).
