I'm surprised the concept art looks so good considering the final product is so shit. It looks like they really fucked the female character faces up on purpose after looking at this.

Its a beautiful concept art work, but its not as detailed as ME3. I agreed they definitely destroy female character face on purpose. I can't even recognize Cora as the one in-game. All the armor and creature 3D model looks exactly the same in the game, no way and not an excuse they are not skilled enough to handle facial model.

Theyre fixing it. Already improved the eyes.

But its true they shouldnt have pushed the game out in that state. Fucking EA. Also this game was done by Biowares B studio, which made the ME3 MP and Omega dlc, not Edmonton, which made the original games. A lot more inexperienced crew, since many of the original staff either left or were assigned elsewhere. This was their first big project, and it kinda shows.

I'm not sure they could do enough fixing to make this the game it should have been. The animations are horrible, AI is a joke, there are only two new alien races, All the women look ugly and anorexic compared to ME2/3, menus buried in menus, no power wheel, nomad sucks/ no guns, even your ship has no guns, my face is getting tired listing all the ways this game sucks. Do I think it can be fixed, possibly. But it would be a immense undertaking, and I don't think they have it in them to pull it off.

It's really telling that most of their art challenges came from simply freaking modelling the characters. Seriously most of the comments on those character bios are "We had trouble here because the model was clipping into itself" or "This clothing was hard to model". That's what happens when you get the cheap noobies to work on your AAA game.

Nice upload.
However, the art direction is kinda uninspired. I find comparing this to what it in the game it's safe to say the execution kinda failed, especially the notion that armors were "pajama-like" in ME123 but they tried to avoid that in this one due to increased fidelity. I specifically remember looking at early gameplay of this and saying "lol his armor looks like it's made of rubber or something. It's almost pajama like".

It's hard to make Mass Effect but it feels like the trilogy staff put it in the hands of upstart amateurs.
