Best case scenario:

It's actually kinda sad (but clever on the part of the author) that a harem premise is established but as the narrative unfolds you find out that it simply never was. Haruko was after Adamus and Mami was seeing Tasuku-senpai, or at least unwilling to let go of her remaining connection to him. Ninamori, the girl his age, the classmate, was the only one with any real interest in him.
