Yes, that's because in the original doujin one of the central points is that the succubus speaks with a moderately thick accent. Hence why she ran away: she was bullied for how thick it was.
I settled on a Scottish accent (plus its slang) because while it's not an entirely different language, it does have its quirks that were good for showing just how different her accent is from the male character in this doujin. The lazy (and incorrect) alternative would have been to render her speech in a stereotypical Southern United States dialect.
I can understand if it feels weird to read at times, but remember, the original doujin also feels pretty weird to read.

I'm glad you did enjoy it though. I asked my Scottish friend for help with her dialogue so it would be as genuine as possible.

I don't know about how others feel, but having had a Scottish ex whose mother had one of the thickest accents I've ever heard, I could actually read this and enjoyed it thoroughly. Kudos to you Intu.
