Confused with the reveal that Ishtar Academy chairwoman Shizune Sakuba is the succubus who gave up her powers for a victim of hers that she fell in love with and had a child, with said victim named "Ai Amanotsukasa," thus making them Yoshino's ancestresses. If that be the case, what's with Shizune's big scheme to return to the Succubus World by way of Succumancy and taking the users there? I mean, if there will be a sequel, why have Shizune give up on what she did for Ai, even if the latter is dead?

As for what her endgame is, I'm not quite sure. I think it's intentionally left as a Shyamalan-twist as a hook in case Shichison wants to continue the story. Otherwise we can only theorize.

My theory is that wants to revive Ai ("after all these 700 years without you have been too long...") by returning to the succubus world. Ai died from old age because they were a human, and Suzune could do nothing to stop this because she gave up her powers in exchange for her love.

Succubuses are described as fearsome beings that lead kingdoms to ruin, it's not improbable that the power of the succubus can revive dead humans. And the only way to return to the succubus world is to gather all the ability users together, thus equalling the power she used to have. To do this she is manipulating the evolution of the sport of succumancy from behind the shadows.
