My twelfth time scanning a doujinshi, hopefully it's not too terrible.

If you turn down the contrast on your scanner's settings, you'll get less discoloration on cover pages.
Your black and white pages are fine, though. But, you might want to consider putting a heavy book on top of your scanner lid when scanning pages.
They'll come out more even that way.
