Where is the gender bender only saw bodyswap.

@Asuke kuzaki, it apparently is considered gender bender. Personally I think it and futanari are their "own thing", but I guess we'll have to live with sorting it with a "-bodyswap" tag.

@Montaj Most of the users are idiots and vote without reading the wiki. I've been trying to get the fanbase to follow the official rules on body swaps for years, or for the rules to be rewritten to include gender bender. Instead we have edit wars between literates and the illiterate, and the dumb masses who never read the wiki have been winning. Now the search engine doesn't work how it's supposed to, but I've stopped caring since the literates can get around it.

And I thought that gender bender is a tag that can never stand alone and only describes that someone "becomes" the opposite gender. And the way it happens is tagged by transformation, possession, body swap or whatever.

I don't get what else "own thing" it should be, how it should be defined.

Edit: The way to use it, in the wiki, seems totally random and in opposition of a useful way to use tags... as if it is a political thing...

@weidenritter Gender bender tag would describe a person turning into a different gender and excluding possession and body swap to make specific searching easier. Also since you have "male/female/misc", using gender bender as well is kind of redundant

@ensane It's not redundant at all. The current definition (basically transformations) has gaps.

With the current definition of `gender bender`: if you want to find stories about guys possessing girls or girls possessing guys, you are completely short on luck. The only way is to search through every possession story. There's also no general way of finding all stories about "a guy becomes a girl" or "a girl becomes a guy".

If `gender bender` had an expanded definition, then:
- GB fans who like the expanded definition can easily find all GB-related stories, regardless of whether it's possession / body swapping / skinsuit / transformation / etc.
- GB fans who like the current definition can filter out -possession, -"body swap", etc.

I suspect most people think of `gender bender` as "a guy becomes a girl" or "a girl becomes a guy" (regardless of how it happens), so it seems like the current tag definition is contrary to how most people expect / want the tag to work. But hey ¯_(ツ)_/¯

@b911 I misspoke a bit. It's only body swap that disallows gender bender tags, not possession. And crossdressing and futa, though I didn't mention those. For body swap it's definitely redundant though.

@ensane Not quite true -- I've seen plenty of possession, skinsuit, etc. stories where the gender bender tag was removed.
