I'm sorry, but Souta's canonical level of "little bitch" exceeds that of Shinji's by way too many magnitudes for me to fap to this. The dude was pretty much a background character the entire show. His character was literally "avoid eye contact and any important topics" for 2/3 of the scenes he's in, gets center stage for all of episode 12, and then pretty much disappears into the dark until episode 18 or 19. Like firstly no, fuck you, it's not even about you. Secondly, how the fuck did you think you "killed" her? "Oh I didn't post anything on the message board or w/e that hard a shit ton of hate and avoided texting her cuz I'm petty." That's not why she died; hell you didn't even contribute. Could you have saved her? Not with the attitude you've had the entire show, you insecure indecisive fuck. Asides from that one meat-shielding scene, he only decides to actually do something when the universe is on the brink of destruction AND HAS LITERALLY NOTHING TO LOSE (because if he failed, they would have all died all the same), and oh, is backed by the fucking cause-and-effect bending psycho. What's his personality even? All I know is that he likes stories and drawing and angsts about sucking at it. Fuck, eroge-guy has only been in the show for like 3 or 4 episodes and he's tons better than the kid.

I agree the narrator Souta was exactly what he said he was, a minor character narrator. Don't know who did that wrong press release, but wrong press releases happen all the time as the producers do not do them, they are done by the promo monkeys in the marketing department. Home web site had Souta as just one of an ensemble cast, anime list had him as one of nine mains. Yep, I think she would have gone for someone more manly.

The original work marks Hiroe's point: he didn't wanted Souta to be "Rock of Black Lagoon 2.0" with his "from nobody to nightmare" development. No, he's just a true average schoolkid. A kid who grew some balls faster than Pusshinji, by confronting Alicetaria and confessing his guilt. Everybody has some kind of guilt for a beloved one's death. Even I have one, even if I wasn't there. That's the kind of guilt to overcome the most. As for the asspull,measure with sharkteeth, I think we missed the development of Magane in the human world to see her change of heart from chaotic to neutral, and Souta thought he wasn't necessary in the crossover because he is surrounded of fucking pros. You become wiser with surrounded by wise people.

As for this doujin, is kind of OOC. Souta knew from the beginning that Selesia had the hots for Charon, but hey! It's a doujin, reality bends like a rubber duck. I prefer ones with Meteora, though.
