Classic...

The fate of the original Star Ocean 1 characters, the way it leaves the Expel's story pretty much unfinished, the contrived plot with the Ten Wise Men, and the bite-sized endings... Looking back on all the hours I spend unlocking things and getting the most interesting items, I can't help but wonder if investing so much time onto a road that went nowhere was worth the opportunity cost despite how innovative everything seemed back then.
