@Xephir, then let me rephrase it: what is the logic behind commissioning ch2 instead of ch1? Because if it's not about just "fapping to pictures" and you actually care enough about the story to such an extent that you even go as far as to commission a translation, then wouldn't it be far more logical to ask for a translation of ch1 instead of ch2? I'm genuinely curious about the logic behind this.

@Forgunia: I'm with you, I don't get it either. I can only tell you about two cases I've seen recently.

1) The commissioner is only interested in a specific chapter. Maybe it alone has his fetish, and he doesn't care about the story as much as what he likes. Maybe he can only afford to get one chapter done, and liked 2 more than 1.

2) The translator is only interested in a specific chapter, possibly for the same reason. I've come across translators who claim there are story reasons for skipping around or excluding things, but it rarely seems to prove true as a reader.
