The "SpiderGwen" character is pretty much based on an assistant editor named Heather Antos that was supposedly hired by editor Jordan D. White to be his work girlfriend who also made Gwen look like her down to the way she coloured her hair.

She's one of the many people that the big name comic companies used to "improve" their rep in terms of affirmative action social justice bullshit. A lot of them aren't even any good when it came to writing, drawing, or editing and just got hired anyway. She basically asked to be hired during a con and the only reason they couldn't hire her on the spot was because she had zero experience. They had to make her "edit" a shitty indie anthology book first purely just so her resume wasn't literally empty when they brought her in.

EDIT: As for the other characters, it's probably because of the Tumblr nose.
