>Tfw 8 bit games had those amazing arts as gameplay inspiration
>Tfw now we have the graphics to hold the art, everything is micro transaction riddled

They once had to get creative just to get games to fit a few KB. Now, they just rely on Moore's Law to give them progressively more processing, memory, and storage than they'll ever need just for progressively pointlessly higher textures, higher poly counts, and a lot of leeway for their buggy unoptimized code.

There are no good reasons for any game these days to take more than 20 GB of space. It's just a pissing contest between the biggest dicks and the winner is the kind that can never get hard. Worst ones out there are the "retro" inspired games that still require modern specs to run.

I can hear the stupid question now - "What CG/Art/Drawing software did these artist use to make these pictures and where can I get it?"
