@ssj782 Can you please read the actual manga before saying such stupidities? Pitou is a girl in the manga. The anime has 0 rights to change Pitou's gender. Pitou is never called with a male pronoun in the manga, Pitou has tits, female features and a female background in the manga. There is always at least one female chimera ant in each ranks, so it's logical that a royal guard is female. She is implied to be female.

The gender-ambiguity trope is not a fucking secret, it's commonly used to bait dumbass kids into making assumptions. Everyone is allowed their opinion, but when you go asserting it to others, you lose because you fell for the bait. Pitou isn't even human, so they're more ambiguous than not. There is not logical conclusion, it's a mystery, FOREVER because the mangaka will never revisit it, intentionally so. Both "Pitou's male" and "Pitou's female" sides are wrong, get over it.

In doujinshi, Pitou is whatever the artist wants them to be because you actually need to know their gender before you can bend their gender.

That's a fallacious argument. male don't have tits, and character are either male or female. Chimera ants come from 1 animal and 1 or two other species. So if Pitou has tits how could you explain me that she is not female?

Pitou is 60% human, chimera ants are gendered, there's male and female chimera ants. else why woudl Gon say that Kite became a girl? We saw that tehre's at least a female chimera ant in each ranks: Reina, the bat, the mosquito, the ortho sibling, Hina, Kite, Zazan and Pitou. Saying that Pitou isn't human is not argument. The chimera ant's hatsus are based on their previous life and their animal parts, you can see that ex-NGL soldiers have military based hatsus (Welfin, Ikalgo, Brovada). Pitou's hatsu are based on her human traits: Dr.Blythe is based on the blythe doll which is exclusive for female, and Teprsichora is the muse of dance, Pitou even says "exceed your limits and dance", so she know on what it's based. It hints us about Pitou's background.

It makes no sense for Pitou to be male. She is implied to be female, the readers of HxH should be enough intelligent to figure it out. Pitou can't have no gender, it's impossible.

(Btw, it really doesn't matter what an individual person thinks of Pitou's gender or sex. Pitou is a character in fiction that we make real through our perception of. If someone perceives Pitou as male or female, regardless of what's canon by the author, that is their ability and inherent right to do. So long as we aren't trying to enforce our perceptions onto others, it really shouldn't be a bother what any one person thinks of the character. I personally have always seen Pitou as a girl in both sex and gender, but I can see how someone could interpret Pitou as a very feminine boy as well. Although, in regard to adding a yaoi tag, I think that would be misleading to how Pitou is being depicted in this doujin, so it probably wouldn't be for the best to do so.)

An official data book lists Pitou as male, the 2011 anime seems to go with the notion that Pitou is female. The manga itself never uses a gendered pronoun in regards to Pitou and most official western releases use gender neutral pronouns for Pitou. Point being, likely by design, there is evidence to support either view (the link above lists the most popular ones). Togashi likes gender ambiguous characters, Alluka is another example of this. Human males can have tits depending on the activity of certain hormones, so Pitou's tits don't automatically settle the matter.

An arguement on e-hentai won't magically make anyone change their mind and agree on one viewpoint. Also, I know this is a porn site, but it's sad that people discuss a manga as good as HxH and immediately start calling each other stupid when they disagree. It's discussing a fictional character's gender, conspiracy theory level fanaticism is unnecessary. I expect that level of zealot behavior from fans of other Shounen Jump titles. HxH fans should be more restrained and civil than how most of this discussion went.

As regards this fancomic itself. I like the premise, but the art is mostly photoshoped redraws of artwork taken from the actual manga. It's especially clear with that last page.
