I kinda viewed those half colored half B&W page as artistic liberty actually. Like maybe the artist is trying to make a point, but yeah it can be quite inconsistent at times

I thought the color pages corresponded with her mood. The times she was happy or with the guy when she still thought he loved her the color was there or returned and when she was having sex with the random men or when she had doubts about whether the guy actually loved her the color faded away. The first time she had sex with the men she had some color cause she was doing it for her love but those men were black and white. It almost fits if you assume the greyscale stuff is the stuff that makes her depressed but then if it's sadness ex post facto then presumably all of page 16 should be grayed out, but if it's depression in the moment then presumably all of 15 would be coloured in.
