The woman who takes Shouta in is Marika Fujinami (short dark brown hair), a widow who lost her husband in a car accident not too long ago, and she is Rena’s older sister, which makes Marika his aunt, but one not related by blood; seeing how Marika lost her husband too soon and they had no children her house became too big and lonesome for her, so she takes Shouta in no problem, Marika is a spirited gutsy woman who keeps walking around the house with little clothing, paying no mind that Shouta is a healthy 16 years old teen on his 2nd year at High School, sometimes she teases him, and to make Shouta’s matter “worse” she is also the Swimming Club coach at his school, Marika Is an athlete herself with an Olympic background, winning a bronze medal once, with that Shouta sees Marika on her swimsuit very often.

One day on his way back home after school Shouta sees his mother close by, Rena runs for his embrace, Rena can’t help by hug Shouta tight and place his head on her bosom, telling him how much she misses him, wishing he would come back to his real home, Shouta too misses Rena and only wants to be close to his beloved mother, but Shouta says he can’t come back, Rena knows this, it was Shouta’s own father that expelled his own son out of their house.

Back when Shouta lived with his parents Rena pampered him all day long, despite the fact Rena only married Shouta’s father just 3 years ago Rena has an immeasurable motherhood sentiment towards Shouta, and the guy as well reciprocates as her “son” due Shouta never really getting to know his birth mother for too long, she died when he was very little. In this strong mother son relationship there’s one peculiar activity the two share with each other, apparently Shouta really misses his birth mother’s breasts, the only real memory he has of her is when she breastfed him, with that Rena accepts and nurtures Shouta into sucking her breasts occasionally (super normal stuff) for the two to bond as mother and son.

Rena’s keeps screaming at Raita to stop beating his son, that Raita was mistaken, they were not having an affair on his back, Raita is having none of that, he came back home and saw his son sucking on his wife’s breasts, the guy can’t see that as anything else but text book cheating; after getting a full course beat down Shouta just leaves the house, but comes back right away because he fears his father is so enraged that he might lay his hands on Rena, coming back in Raita sarcastically asks Shouta if he came back to keep getting his punishment, Shouta just says he came back to look after Rena, with that Raita was ready to continue the beat down but Rena screams louder, that this is not what Raita thought was happening, pleading for Raita to stop all this violence.

Raita agrees, but he had enough of it, Raita can’t think of anything but the fact his own wife and son were having an affair on his back (I mean, who can blame him), Raita gives the ultimatum, he expels Shouta out of his house, he will cease the aggression and take care of ensuring Shouta gets to live well but not in his house anymore; Shouta quietly agrees but Rena was devastated with the development.

In the present day it has been 2 years since Shouta was expelled from his parent’s house and was arranged to start living with his aunt Marika, ever since Shouta has missed Rena greatly and she too feels the same, once in a while Rena drops by her sister’s house to see how Shouta is doing, promising that one day she will convince Raita to let Shouta back on their home.

One day passing by in front of his former home Shouta thinks to himself if Raita really will ever let him back, standing still in the middle of the street a woman approaches Shouta, he stops thinking to himself and sees that his long time neighbor came to greet him, Hitomi Yaeyama (black tied-up hair) is a lady who has known Shouta for his whole life, as he lost his birth mother very early on his life it was Hitomi who kindly offered herself to take oversee Shouta whenever his father couldn’t; Hitomi is happy to see Shouta after he “left” his home a few years ago, she invites him to her house to eat some snacks.

Inside Hitomi’s house Shouta gets to drink tea and eat some watermelon, Hitomi treats him like a son as she has none of her own, Hitomi has been a full-time housewife for years and her husband is always working, she is all alone most of the time, they make some small talk but Hitomi doesn’t try to pry too much on why Shouta doesn’t live with his parents anymore, as the whole meltdown was kept between the 3 people involved in it, no one else but Marika came to know that.

Another day, at night Shouta comes back to Marika’s home, but he hears some people talking before he enters, it sounds like a heated argument, Shouta recognizes the voices, Marika and Rena are talking about something, it seems they are talking about him; turns out Rena started to get really desperate about Shouta not living with her anymore, she dropped by to tell her sister Marika that she is taking Shouta back, but Marika is having none of it, Marika stands her ground and asks if Rena even managed to convince Raita about taking Shouta back, Rena admits that she didn’t succeed yet, but she is confident that she will sooner or later, Marika isn’t buying it, she can see through Rena’s desperation and tells her that she isn’t letting Shouta out of her house till she hears from Raita that Shouta is allowed to come back.

Shouta now knows that the situation with their parents is as heated as ever, Rena is desperate to see her son back and Shouta too misses her so much; and so, the game’s narrative develops.

************************** _ Rena Matsukaze Route _ **************************

Rena kept trying for two years to convince Raita to take Shouta back in, to no avail as Raita kept the image of his son sucking on his wife’s breasts very alive in his mind, Rena insists on the her logic that was not an affair (really, she actually believes that in full) but mother-son bonding, Raita is having none of that, for him it was clear as day, it was cheating; adding to that Rena tried to convince Raita with pulling a sex strike on him, Raita tried many times to have sex with her but Rena put her feet down saying he isn’t having none till he allows Shouta back, that only fueled his anger which made Raita really think Rena was just saving her body for Shouta.

Impeded from having Shouta back with her at their home Rena resorts to making a bridge through Hitomi, the neighbor really thinks Rena and Shouta should have their time together so Hitomi invites them in to eat very often since then; that makes Rena and Shouta grow close again, and so the breast sucking mother-son bonding comes back.

That moment of peace quickly goes to hell once Raita calls Shouta to drop by home, his father says he wants to talk, Shouta goes wondering what his father wants to discuss, back home Raita looks with Shouta with a cold expression and slaps him, Raita drops an envelope at the table, it is full of pictures with Rena and Shouta “bonding”, Rena is there witnessing this new drama unfolds, Raita says he hired a private eye after he noticed Rena was going out way too often, he got suspicious and that was the result.

A heated argument breaks with Raita screaming how he can even patch things up while he keeps getting backstabbed like this, Rena once again breaks in and says she is not having an affair with Shouta, she tried to have her family back, that she loves Raita and can’t understand why he cannot see her reasoning, Raita gets even more mad in utter disbelief in how Rena insists on her ordeal with Shouta being anything but cheating, Raita loudly proclaims he will never accept a son that tries to take away what is his.

Raita’s wording makes Rena stop trying to argue, she asks him what of “his thing”? Raita angry as ever reaffirms that Rena is his wife, his possession, and that Shouta was trying to take her away from him; Rena starts getting mad instead, she does not want to be seen as a thing, her mindset starts to change from trying to fix things (in her mind at least) from believing that she too should leave the house as well and divorce Raita, she had enough, she cried for 2 years trying to fix things up (again, that’s what she really thinks) and in turn her husband is only making things worse, with that Rena storms off the house in the middle of the night.

Raita immediately changes his behavior, becoming submissive and worried, pleading Rena to come back but it doesn’t work, Shouta just stares in disbelief, he sees that his family is collapsing so he tries to push his father to run after Rena, but now Raita is feeling completely destroyed, he can’t even get angry anymore, Raita pushes Shouta instead to run after Rena as he thinks Rena would only want to see him right now, Shouta tries to argue that this is what the husband should do but now he starts to notice Raita is broken and doesn’t see himself as the man in Rena’s life anymore, so Shouta runs after Rena.

Shouta gets desperate and calls Marika, asking if Rena dropped by her house, Marika says she didn’t, Shouta explains the current dramatic situation, Marika says she will keep her eyes open if anything happens; still not long after Shouta finds Rena at the local shrine crying, both break in tears and Rena kisses Shouta, while she insists her logic about mother and son bonds, she basically gives herself to love, Shouta and Rena make love right there in the open at night.

From that point on Rena start living with Marika and Shouta, mother and son broke all barriers and have sex all the time, still Shouta can’t help but to think he ruined his father’s life, with that a few days later Raita calls Shouta alone to his house, this time there’s no violence, Raita has mellowed out considerably, the guy has accepted he just lost everything, Raita tells Shouta that he will divorce Rena to allow her to be happy and he will accept his promotion at his company to work in a branch at China, Shouta is surprised and hurt, he sees that has his father’s life is being destroyed but Raita says the transfer to China was always in his plans just that originally he wanted to take Rena with him and leave the house to Shouta, however now he wants to leave the house to Shouta and Rena, Shouta can’t bring himself to say anything, he just lets his father do as he pleases.

Shouta brings Rena in to talk with Raita to hear the same story, Rena thought Raita was just lying to make her go back to him but Raita really means it, Rena tries to apologize but Raita cuts it, he now sees that he should have tried to fix things up, Raita doesn’t regret on beating the hell out of his son and throwing him out but he realizes that he should have not antagonized his wife as well without ever trying to hear her out, everyone cries and Raita leaves the country telling Shouta and Rena to live on the house and be happy, and they do so, much love making ensues, Raita is cucked and forgotten, Rena and Shouta live happily ever after.

************************** _ Hitomi Yaeyama Route _ **************************

The loving neighbor, Hitomi was the bridge between Rena and Shouta in those harsh times that kept them separated, Hitomi felt sad that mother and son were being apart so she arranged for the two be together at her house to relive some of the the close time together they had 2 years ago; at first Hitomi didn’t want to pry on the reason why Shouta didn’t live with Rena anymore, but it kept bugging her, why two people so close are living far from each other? One day Hitomi was too worried and had to ask, Rena is her good friend and is thankful for opening the doors for Shouta to be with his mother again, so Rena opens up about the whole breast sucking ordeal and the following meltdown.

Another day Shouta visits Hitomi by himself on her request, Hitomi feeds him as usual but reveals that Rena told her the real reason Shouta lives far from his original home, Shouta is taken by surprise but Hitomi tries to calm him down, saying that she is understanding of his plight, Hitomi wants to relieve that breast sucking needs Shouta has, and she has much to offer as Hitomi has the biggest breasts in the game as Shouta sees that right away; allowing Hitomi to take part on this service opens the path to she becoming a heroine, otherwise it remains locked to Rena.

Hitomi as a full-time hoursewife has longed for sex in a while, the ever-absent husband isn’t helping, so of course that is the recipe for Shouta digging in, unlike Raita the cucked husband in this route is a non-character, he is barely relevant.

The sports widow, Marika has taken Shouta in and treats him more like a younger brother, she doesn’t have the insane mother instincts of the other two, Rena and Hitomi, which actually makes way for the more grounded development in which Marika starts seeing Shouta as a man who notices her as a woman; Marika begins to tease Shouta more often to see how he reacts, while in secret she has own feelings of longing for Shouta, naturaly the two start opening themselves to each other, romance ensues, the only true vanilla route in the game, not “vanilla” built on affairs like the others.

Well that’s it, I’ve come to accept boot UP only makes relationship drama eroge over the past few years, the sweet days of Aneimo and its sister games are long gone; current games on their line are built on destroying marriages and you get to see them crumbling in real time, and for some reason they don’t even make the cucked husband out to be fully unsympathetic, hell, not even the characters can deslike them, so it isn't far-fetched some could feel sorry for the cucked poor bastard and question the protagonist and the heroine's actions.
