I have more of an issue with how bad the cucking is being represented. Even a fetish like cucking is based on trust between the couple which tends to be mishandled between these two and has led to Pat having a breakdown in the book. Cucking as a fetish can be fun but it is easy to screw up and make it look more abusive than it should be. Unfortunately with how one sided and mean spirited it is presented between these two a lot of the time it is easy to see it being abusive even if it is supposed to be loving.

I honestly don't think the cucking fetish itself is the issue people have with this artist and character but how it is mishandled with these characters, which while the actual sex is hot can be somewhat of a turn off if you liked the characters before they became like this.

Yeah, Pat is officially a cuck now. I understand that he's okay with Shade dominating other men but this is straight up cuckolding. The breakdown Pat goes through? It happens in the book called "Bucking the System" I believe. Nightshade ends up going too far with the buck and the cucking overall and after a foursome Pat was never told about happens Pat just has a breakdown and iirc ends up going to Nightshade's boss to talk about what he should do. The book itself is not canon but Kadath has described it as in character for the characters. Which is a big part of my issue with how the cucking is presented. The way that it has been shown tends to be very one sided a lot of the time and many of the things that couples that do cuck do to make sure things don't become actual issues are skipped over or forgotten about. Which is an issue both because it displays the fetish as more negative than it really is and because the character of Nightshade herself is supposed to be an experienced dominatrix who eases her subs into their roles, which conflicts with both of the most recent showings where she and the buck just jumped into things and we are told that Pat is ok with it for the most part until the breakdown.

The times before and after the cucking are generally some of the most important for the entire thing to work. Before with talking, discussing rules, and threesomes until the cuck backs off by themself, showing they are comfortable with the new buck. Unless it is actual cheating or netorare the lover jumping the new buck before making absolutely sure the cuck is ok with things and before discussing rules is a big no no for couples that practice cucking. An experienced couple can make that process faster but it is still generally required. Pat and Nadia being decently new at the fetish makes it unlikely that they are at that point. After the act then the aftercare is just as important, couples who cuck are doing it at the end of the day for each other. Showing proper care and love for their lover at the end is very important for the couple as it reestablishes that they are doing it for each other and not themselves. On another note though it seems Pat and Puzzle's incest has been retconned, as has a lot of the earlier stories including Pat and Nightshade's earlier relationship(Pat says a few things here that contradicts one of their first sexual encounters we see). From what I heard Kadath doesn't like incest any more so he retconned it and much of the stories around that time out entirely. Nightshade and Diamond's "rivalry" seeming like one of the only things to have made it into the new canon.
