Indeed, this is much more efficient. Honestly, it made little sense in the original. Humanoids take a long time to grow. If you are going through them like tissue paper, you're gonna run out of hosts/baby baskets in a week. Keeping them alive and using the same host multiple times like this makes a heck of a lot more sense.

That said, I'm sure we all regret how short this was. I don't think any of us cared about the "before" but at least an extra page showing her expression as she 'births' a few more litters would have been nice.
