I suspect, without much proof (other than Trigger's lack of concern with other shows) that the opposition to dôjin ultimately comes from the rights holder to the original tokusatsu Gridman.

@usernameao The license holders put up a fuss so the online shops couldnt stock them, the Gridman doujins are hence only sold physically at the con itself and for exorbitant prices on mandarake and yahoo auctions
