@dman69: Well... at least as far as the character goes, her view on love is that the greatest act of love is becoming someone you love... by killing and replacing them. So it's not unusual to see her acting friendly or lovey-dovey with someone while actively trying to harm or kill them. I can't read Japanese either, but I would guess that she at least stabbed Deku, as that is how she tends to attack people, as she needs their blood to activate her Quirk.
