Following Red_Piotrus comment, I actually was directed to this artists works from the very doujin he quoted in that first link. Shocked, I decided to buy their book through a JP website. Going on their twitter, I messaged them in Japanese telling them that I not only enjoyed the book, but I had read a translation of it. Enjoying the translation so much, I decided to "support them directly through purchasing via legal means"

The artist is, to make a long story short, an enormous cunt. She basically berated me for reading the english version, asked me to then go and berate anyone ever reading it in english, asked me to not share her works, and to always request her work being taken down. Amongst other things, she couldn't have given less of a shit that other people enjoyed her work or decided to support her overseas.

I'd have actually replied and given her words even one single grain of salt if her work in question was not a fucking parody in the first place. I've read lots of doujinshi with original characters and if the artist told me "fuck off and don't share my IP", I may disagree but I'd be like, well, it's your own artistry. However, she wants to pretend that her works are (in her words, literally:) 'candy you eat and discard, only meant for JP audience"

Sorry. Tales of Abyss is meant for everyone. Want to make something ephemeral? Make it yourself, you daft cunt. I genuinely recommend not supporting this artist monetarily whatsoever.

It's such a shame they ruin their own chances of making fans out of Japan , which have a great buying power , and are the reason most of Japanese artists make money in the first place, the western buying power is the first and foremost reason most anime , doujin , manga etc can actually exist sure Japanese market is great and yada yada yada but let's be serious , you produce doujins they get sold out with no reprinting then they get translated to English News flash what Japanese can read English joke is not a lot actually and non of them shall go to E-Hentai especially not for your kind of lovey dovey smut shoujo stuff , to think the artist looks down on it's overseas fans is so disgusting !! especially when those same fans fly to comiket or buy online that exact artists works! i'm so happy I bought the doujin from a different artists which EHCOVE translated , I actually went and got a doujin just thanks to the artist being published in English right here! definitely shouldn't show support to them , but I support publishing every doujin released by this artist here on Ehentai who gives a damn on what she says , as long as she does not own Tales of Abyss as a title she has no right to look down on her overseas fans it's not like we are even making her lose money lol quite the opposite the joke is she just lost a chunk of potential buyers just due to her attitude kudos to trashy doujinka that can't appreciate overseas fanbase. to think I loved her doujins and considered buying them only thanks to EHCOVE and English translation although I read Japanese makes me really angry and disappointed ,I bought NekoNattou only thanks to Shinko.Aelith and the translated doujins on this site.
I'm all for shaming bad doujinka who looks down on fans due to their origin! so what if we're not Japanese , doesn't mean we should be looked down at!
