Eh thats just 'begging the question'. The fact that the replacement only happened directly after the split means that the people employing them thought them a better option than the other choices. Sure it 'could' have happened, but there is no indication to justify assuming it aside from 'Gardevoirs work in mysterious ways'.

Not really. If we accept the "Gardevoirs can see the future"-premise, the whole story is just a miscommunication and Pokemon not understanding human society.

Gardevoir saw they were going to be replaced, so she quit and got a job as a porn star so her trainer could continue living the high life.

But since Gardevoir can't talk and doesn't understand human culture, the whole thing comes across as:

"Gardevoir dumped me (and then I got replaced), sabotaged me by becoming a porn star (cause Pokemon don't understand porn taboos) and to add insult to injury I HAVE to work with her so she can keep working legally (cause I'm her trainer)."

Isn't it what "begging the question" is? You have to assume that she 1) can see into the future and 2) that the future she foresaw would have happened no matter what, all that because the Hex Maniac said so. That's circular, unless proven later on in the comic that she indeed can foresee the future accurately. As is, there's no tangible reason to assume it's true: you have to assume it's true to for the argument to make sense.

Your 'do you rage at your friends if they get a new job' is horrible logic. When your friend gets a new job that new job usually has nothing to do with you or any accept of your life.

Lou and her pokemon on the other hand were in a contract partnership that was only stable and of value so long as both of them where involved. The second one splits the other is considered worthless in that industry.

A better example would be if you and your friend started a carrier as a duet singing couple and at the height of your success they leave. Would you be mad. Yes. Because them leaving directly affects you ability to work and perform in an industry.

I do agree that a lot of the hurt feelings are over Eerie overshadowing her. But I don't really buy the imbalance thing in combination with the earlier 'wants what is also good for you' concept.
Unless Pokemon run entirely on moon-logic the outcome of all of this would have come up in the afforementioned discussions.
My personal opinion is that Eerie chose something she feels stronger about than the trainer-pokemon bond over said bond without fully accepting that the bond would be frayed by doing so.
Counter to what one may think, THIS IS FINE. Going after ones passion is good. But Eerie now has to confront the fact that this caused some amount of harm.
I DON'T hate Eerie going her own way.
I DO hate this weird notion (that crops up in many stories with dependant relationships) that everything has to be excused, in this case everything Eerie did.
Make it about confronting bad outcomes of decisions and working through them instead of twisting it into EVERYTHING IS FINE AND ALSO ALL YOUR FAULT.

I think the problem isn't what Eerie did but the stupid justification and how the blame was lay at the trainer feet. It sound to much like social justice shit and this weird new logic were you have to forgive everything someone do to you as long as they give you a half assed reason for it and were you can't get angry if someone pretty much betray you. In the end Eerie can do whatever she want but Lou have reason to be pissed and to hate the friend that ruined her life, no justifications matter.
(And I feel like and idiot talking about pokemon-human interaction).

Okay, this is gonna be another really long comment.
While I try to be mostly impartial (see Eerie going after her Desire is good in my previous comment etc) my knee-jerk reaction to the entire thing was still FUCK EERIE (in a non-sexual context).
So I wondered where that came from until I had a fridge moment and realized that this story is effectively a Post-NTR scenario with just the sexual factor more skewed towards business/relationship in general:

Explanation:
Two people have been together from their beginning.
They grew clowser and had an goal for the pair of them (usually marriage vs here fashion)
They then finally achieved said goal and all the benefits that come with it (usually sex, here influence/fame)
Then one of the pair is (literally even here) seduced away from that goal and finds the new circumstance to be far more gratifying than the old one.
Meanwhile, the partner is understandably shattered at what happened but holds up a facade in public because they need the money/their pride etc.
The seduced away partner still wants the same relationship they had before, which for obvious reasons is a bit of a problem.

Fits the general NTR plotline reasonably well.

Further I thought about possible plotlines (based around Porn stereotypes and not):
A: Eerie gives up the porn business and we go back to fashion. (Bad option just included for the sake of completeness. Makes no sense and is unfulfilling for everyone).

B: Lou Joins Eerie in a shoot as a fellow sub to 'experience it from her side' comes to like it and everything is good. This is the cheap/bland option for Porn but has no substance.

C: Lou gets more involved with being Eerie's Agent/Manager (as she currently seems to just let everything happen due to being pissed and actively not wanting to care). She knows what costumes Eerie could best pull off etc. Cue montage with eerie becoming more of a star and Lou being the shadow eminence behind her reestablishing a form equality and partnership. But this one doesn't have much Smut potential as it is mostly business stuff and we are all here predominantly for the smut and a good story is just icing.

D:
After the talk with Hex Lou starts being a bit more involved as Eerie's manager like in C. Then one shoot the other pair's trainer can't make it. It was established that Pokemon and trainers have a rhythm that allows the pokemon to not overshadow the Trainer, something that otherwise almost invariably happens. So now they shoot has two Pokemon and no trainer. They can't just send in someone else, it would ruin the rhythm. The role is also for a Dom as eerie seems to massively prefer being a sub. So via some begging from Eerie and some still repressed feelings on Lou's side she 'angrily' agrees to fill in the roll. Smut happens and during the shoot Lou realizes something about Eerie.
We have only ever seen eerie lip-bite at a Sub-role and only seen her do Sub-roles. Eerie never wanted to overshadow Lou, in fact it was the opposite. She saw a future where said fantasy came true and acted accordingly, but not knowing how far in the future that was, the choice caused Lou pain and confused/frightened Eerie. Eerie not only likes sex and being a Sub but also wanted more than a platonic relationship with Lou but any future where she brought that up directly lead to awkwardness and ruin. Now in that shoot where Lou is the Dom, eerie can finally see a glimpse of that wanted future and Lou can see Eerie's feelings in her actions. Smut follows (with or without the obligatory 'They are going off-script' 'Fuck that, let them, this is awesome.' and it ends in a yelled CUT.
In an epilogue we see Lou once again meet Hex and they talk about what has happened where we get a 2 page montage of basically the stuff described in option C above (possibly with Hex being revealed in a thought bubble of hers to have caused the other trainer's indisposition in the relevant shoot possibly by sexual means to enable a possible side-quel). At the end, as Lou is getting up to leave Hex asks her: "But since that time you haven't been in any more shoots with har at all, don't you miss the feeling?" to which we get "No, the on-camera world is one eerie is much more inclined to than me in that regard, but" hard cut to next page where we see the classic silhouette of an open door with Lou's shadow reaching into an apartment. We see Eerie strung up in a harness much like the one she is lip-biting to on page 10 facing the door writhing with a smile as an affixed massager is doing its thing, looking at the door and we get a small word bubble going "not everything happens in front of the camera" Cut to black page with THE END

The comic even say's 'we discussed a lot' in regard to Gardivour leaving. So Lou likely explained exactly what Gardivor going solo would do to her carrier.
At best you can say Gardivor thought Lou would just be able to have the same synergy with a new pokemon and be fine. But that still means she left knowing there was a very real chance her trainer's carrier would be ruined due to her leaving

@shuriell she says two conflicting things because it is both, the reason Eerie decided to pursue her dream of being an adult poke-actress, is because when she looked into the future she saw her trainer in more or less the same lifestyle as their current one, and didn't realize it was only because she would become very successful, and assumed nothing would change between them, because she doesn't really understand how careers work, nor that her trainers modelling career depended on them both going on the runway. it's also probable that she saw them losing that lifestyle if she stayed as a model, cause of the fickle nature of the fashion industry.

You know, when I read Lusamine, I was like the rest of you. She's not regular crazy. she's not even batshit crazy or even a lunatic. No, she's the fucking amalgamation of both, she's Lunalashit Crazy.

But goddamn if this artist didn't understand exactly WHY. This is the most in-character I've seen Lusamine ever be in any artistic medium besides the original main games. Not even SuMo or the anime were this close to making a fair depiction of her motivations and attitude towards her goals, and even here she sounds completely crazy to think this is the correct approach. I've only ever seen anything like this in some really rare fanfiction.

You got to applaud the artist for thinking of using her this way.

messed up my own comment a big. I meant that not even Ultra Sun Ultra Moon were this good at doing Lusamine. Those games' plot is honestly a fucking mess that shouldn't have been made. They even removed Lilly's character development. At least they gave Hau some.

Lou's idea would probably need some more time to pass before it is put into action.
Otherwise it would be clear as glass that it was almost play by play based on her own history without even having to dig.
This may work due to the smaller projects that should come first.
But I just feel that a script that holds itself to her own history too closely would allow too much insight for the tabloid press, and diverting from it would lessen the closure aspect the idea is probably built around. Though neither is necessarily bad for the story as told to us.

Its just getting a tad meta.

Sorry to all those who enjoy the dialogue and Lusamine's characterization and feel free to call me an uncultured lout, but I can't help but notice that the last sex scene was on page 11, and there's been a dramatic increase in exposition over the last few pages.

Also, the white background behind Lusamine makes her speech bubbles harder to read.

So I guess the described events happened during the phase described on page 11, after Eerie told Lou about her wants but before she enacted them.
So Lou effectively had both her closest partner and her closest business partner exclaim that they wanted certain things to move into a more sexual direction at the same time.
Damn that's rough.
Though why am I getting the feeling that Aya may have had something to do with Eerie's wish to change directions. (Even if only as a byproduct)
The timelines match up too nicely for me to just think it is a coincidence.

Also, is the mention of 'people wanting something extra' on page 9 directed at Aya, or different people (since that seemed to be directed at an earlier timeframe).

I'm gonna post the same thing here that I did in the other gallery:
Bust sizes are getting ridiculous (not that I'm necessarily against it). Both the ones of new characters as well as incremental increases to existing characters.

Also, people in the other galleries have brought up that Laure Lacroix looks suspiciously like an older Lou and have postulated the possibilities of her being Lou's mom.
Though I will also point out here that that, while fascinating, feels like it would against the underdog 'from nothing' story in the prologue flashback somewhat if Lou effectively worked for/with her mom.

Dear Lord those proportions. Seriously, I'm all for thicc and all, but the proportions on Laure in panel 2 and 3 are borderline caricature.
Combined with her hair she has hips and thighs that almost measure up to our resident mawile combined with breasts literally bigger than her head.
I know this sounds pretentious and all, but I'm a bit worried the art-style is going to devolve to Ero-Enzo levels of extreme within 2 more chapters if this continues at the current pace.

Also, with a side view, not having arms in the classic sense makes froslass look slightly disturbing in profile. The bumps veering it somewhat towards ampu-porn, but luckily not quite (at least in my case).

@Shuriell: Seriously, you literally are the only person complaining about it. If this bother you so much, I encourage you to perhaps find a comic more fitting to your taste.

Laure's proportions are similar (and a step below) to Annabelle's, who has been introduced in the first pages, and I'm not going to redraw the pages because you don't like 1) Laure's body type, 2) the way I chose to portray a Froslass. Annabelle is the maximum of my "thiccness scale", Laure is the step before that.

I'm certain there are other Pokémon porn comic on this site and others if mine isn't to your tastes.

As should be obvious from my previous comments on this gallery above, I really like this story and currently consider it among if not my definite favourite of the ones I wait for updates for.
And as with anything one greatly appreciates in an ongoing medium it is very easy to get concerned about relatively minor/irrelevant things.
In this case it was simply a reaction due to the prologue ending and the first human character shown in the new chapter being significantly outside the previous average shown.
I know Annabelle exists, but in her case, and yeah this is my own faulty mental bias, I stopped registering her 'maximum-thiccness' due to that having become the defacto standard of 'how to portray Hex Maniac' in Hentai. My mind just took Laure as 'flagship of humans in continuing chapters' compared her to the previous shown human characters (again, cutting out annabelle due to afforementioned hentai normalization bias) and got irrationally concerned, due to how the medium (hentai especially) has no shortage of examples where continuous stories can have the characters become ... 'visually flanderized' i guess is an at least somewhat fitting term?

So yeah, I apologize about likely having come across as accusing and somewhat abbrasive on the topic.
A simple 'No worries, all planned' would have been fine.

EDIT: In hindsight I probably subconsciously DID structure that comment in a more accusatory tone to have a higher chance to elicit a response, sorry again, I'll screen my comments better in the future.

Also, a question: Having read the entry on froslass; Is the low temperature in Laure's penthouse (we see evidence at the end of the prologue) actually due to Elsa's presence, or is Laure trying to mimic (at least to a degree) a froslass' natural habitat to to make it more comfortable for her companion?

point of comment: page 58

I'm halfway expecting Annabelle to live in/behind that (if in, then in some remodeled core of the building unseen from the outside), or at least have some sort of connection to it.
Or maybe she will have a connection with it via Lou informing her of it.
By standard flow of story I anticipate the former though.

Also Laverre in combination with 'house of peace' makes me think of Marquis from WORM.

@Shuriell: I apologize if I came down too cross as well. I do understand your viewpoint and I did imagine that Laure's bodytype could be "too much" for some people; As you can see from page 1 to page now 56 (58 here), I'm working to improve and solidify this style.

As for your question, it's a mix of both; Elsa isn't comfortable in warm places and Lumiose is pretty warm, so Laure's entire office is constantly kept are very low temperatures; Elsa's presence itself contributes to lower the temperature, especially in Laure's main office.

As for the ruin on the Laverre Nature Trail, it'll be addressed on the following page. :)

The weapon referenced on p57 saps the life-force of Pokemon in order to activate. In the canon of this comic, it probably also affected humans, and the "mysterious plague" was this effect. Thus, there would be no cure or treatment for the "plague", and those Phantumps were probably all created in the "conventional" way.
