Even this story doesn't really compare to all the shit Subaru goes though. Though yeah, if you're asking about the rabbits thing, Subaru gets eaten inside out in the WN of Re: Zero. The author was pretty descriptive... especially about the rectal part. Believe me, having read it though.. there were even worse things about that particular death.

You can skip the middle man of having it as an isekai and just have it straight fantasy, unless you absolutely need your protagonist to bring up JRPG menus and talk about CHEET CODES. The way it serves this story is just as foreshadowing that the heroine is just biologically incapable of denying her need to breed. But we can assume that in most Mind Break stories.

I feel like that's a bit like saying you can skip the tg middleman by just having the MC be female from the start, or skip the deflowering middleman by having the MC not be a virgin.
Even if it's purely fluff, isekai does add to the context of the story (for better or worse) and some people will prefer that (or not).

I saw some other genderswap stories that had just seemed to have that (and other) fetishes tacked on seemingly to just fill a quota, but as far as this story goes I don't really agree. For sure this story was probably made an isekai in order to capitalize on the isekai wave, but the actual story isn't really a mindbreak but rather one where it is shown that even cheat s skills don't matter if one is a prisoner to nes own desires. Making it a normal fantasy would not have worked because:

1. There would have been no status windows.
2. The skills themselves would not have been god mode/world breaking cheat skills.

Also, there seems to be the idea that the goddess played a trick on the hero either for lulz or because she had to follow some rules she had set up. The MC was not the hero, but he would be giving birth to the hero.

That said... she should have just killed Dolton once he was down. Why the hell did she turn her back and start walking away. The guy was a serial killer and would o doubt murder more people after she left... why was she such an idiot? Worse after being reborn she KNEW that Dolton would get back up, so this time she could make sure to kill him... but instead she decides to get fucked by him. If she wanted to live like a girl that is one thing, but there was no need for her to allow a serial killer to become the father of the future hero. I mean... what kind of hero would a guy like that be? One that rapes his opponents to death?
