so far i prefer this story over his knight story cus honestly that one hurt so much to read especially because the guy was essentially the Hero who protects the kingdom and he gives up the chance to destroy a corrupt monarchy just to protect his former love and her new family which means that he would end up killing so many people that have similar stories to him out of a desire to protect her... and that was just looking at the end, remembering what happened to him throughout the story just hurt.

@SyriasX: Um, if you mean the story I think you do, a slight correction: the guy wasn't the hero. The girl was. That's what made it so backwards: she saved the kingdom, and agreed to be the king's slut despite that. So saving the kingdom meant absolutely nothing. Which is probably where you got the idea that the guy was the hero: he ends up a knight and she ends up pregnant, as if the only noteworthy thing she did was get knocked up.
...clearly, I still have issues with that story. They don't keep me from re-reading it, though....
