Nice upload, thanks for translating this. The artwork is quite good, with lots of gray-tones and excellent shading. Good stomach deformation on p. 18-21. Futa's are the best!

@MoonTechnology Sometimes the person providing the raw scans bothers not to do the leveling job themselves (that's why they're called "raws"), therefore it's common practice for the scanlator to do the finishing touches. If you work on a grayscale manga, there really is no reason not to level it, since it's very easy to do and the result will look drastically better in almost every case.

One good demonstration is worth a thousand well reasoned arguments. You did suffer a bit of quality loss, but I suspect that's from the resizing and the extra generation of JPGs. I think when I have a few hours, I'll go back to my psds and level them. I can correct a few little errors and make some improvements while I'm at it.

Okay, I tried out the first 3 pages before work, and I have to admit, they look better this way.

Besides the levelling, I made a few little tweaks to my type-setting, and before making the JPGs, I rasterized all text layers and added a slight a gausian blur to get rid of a noticeable excessive sharpness in the full res images.

@sdpfsj I've noticed that people find the brackets a bit silly. In Japanese, phonetic hints are often included for kanji as a "superscript" but many artists (including Aomushi, apparently) like to put a totally different word in the superscript to create a double meaning. The implication here is that the character said the simpler word (superscripted), but intended to more complex one. The brackets are a clumsy way to include that, but I don't want to pick just one meaning either. I'll have to give this some thought.

Much better but i would probably go even higher with blacks and a bit lower with whites - so the light gray noise disappears completely: 80/230 if you are using xnview.
