This and The Eyes of Bayonetta are the only video game artbooks I ever bought. An absolutely wonderful companion to the greatest fucking video game ever made!

I have heard people say that they lament all the ideas that are in this book that never made it into the game; but it is exactly material like this that shows you how EVERYTHING goes through so many interations and forms before arriving at a finished state! And ultimately, the development team felt they made the right creative choices (and I certainly agree with them, I love this game to death), so that's what matters.
