That's not what she said. The line in the raw page, which I linked above, is 知らなかったです. In English, "I didn't know that." Naoya wanted to get into her pants since the beginning, and Aya had no clue because she's too innocent.

You're right, as those are dialogues of the first pages I didn't remember exactly, but you are right, I'm not an expert translator so by mistake I change some sentences and then my editor fixes them and so the text ends up being different from the original, an apology for that, but I always try to be as literal as possible.

Being nice to girls, listening to their problems, helping them, etc. But it is a lie. She doesn't "fall in love with someone else". I completely agree with your appraisal that it's a good ending overall, even if it is a bit twisted.

Personally, setup reminds me of a some shoujo/josei manga where the MC (female) ends up with a boyfriend whose only redeeming quality seems to be their appearance (not a fan of those types of non-H manga, but it works just fine for a hentai plot imo). Because of this, I can't really see the childhood friend as the actual protagonist; to me it seems like the girl is the real protagonist and the childhood friend is little more than an entitled asshole who felt like he deserved her because he's a "nice guy." End result of all this is that it barely registers as NTR for me.

I've read other comments here, and it is very true that "big brother" took his relationship with Aya for granted; for granted that they were going to eventually fall in love with each other, and that he didn't have to put forth any effort to achieve that. Relationships seldom work out that way. From what I saw, he had two windows of opportunity to keep hold of her, but both times he failed to take the initiative; the second time especially, when he was with her at the beach, why the hell would you let your love interest wander off with 2 dudes who are obviously aiming for sex? So flaccid of him to just slink away like a coward, lol. When it comes down to it, "big brother" didn't deserve to keep Aya, because his behavior never placed him anywhere above a friend.

I liked the story in this, but the Netorare aspect is not particularly strong; had Aya and the MC officially been a couple, then the impact of betrayal would have had much more of an effect on the audience.
