People have hard on for netorare. What begin with "devastation realizing your partner enjoyed their lover's company more than yours" now become "your crush prefers somebody that is not you." And everything got tagged so. It's utterly silly. It's sad for you, yeah, but that's fact of life. Your crush is people, they have preferences! Beside, what have you invested on them to justify a feeling of devastation? That's why tag description netorare is limited to "knowing partner going away" plus special sympathy cases. Special sympathy case for when the devastating gallery did not meet either the partner part or knowing part. The tag is not for galleries that failed both.

This gallery's young dude and young dudette is no way invested to each other. (1) The characters exchanged what amounted to banters and they can readily be dismissed as "just talking." (2) The dudette or dude has yet declared they're exclusive to each other. (3) The dude is not even knowing her slutting herself!

@7ookami, as user who once or twice suggest a new tag, I see the process is pretty strict. Tags must be definitive. Although what you said sounds fair, it falls outside tag definition. The way I see it, however, it is readers being delusional that all women in galleries belong with the supposed victim, like @ICEuser pointed out happening in other gallery. Many of those women do not belong to the guy. It's sad that majority of readers use the tag before examining if it's proper. And us who care about proper tag are outnumbered. I'm willing to change my opinion for netorare if tag definition changed into "any story where the reader-assumed pairing is not actually a pair." That would be an encompassing definition. But a weak-ass tag if you ask me.
