Who can fault them for finally having the courage to explore themselves. It doesn't feel good to have it happen to you, but we are too complex to be boxed into categories all the time.

I honestly don't get Japan sometimes. For a culture that seems to value familial piety and paying tribute to ones ancestors, often to an absurd level, what kind of Japanese school system is going to forbid part-time jobs? How is it any different from being in a club, which is also often a requirement for advancing in school? I get the idea of telling students to go directly home to cut down on delinquency or any other type of unsavory incident, but you see this kind of shit all the time as a plot device and it makes no goddamn sense even on broad terms.

If I had to analyze it, the appeal is to play out the forgotten frustrated guy's revenge fantasy. That's the reason the reason the NTR/blackmail guys are so often ugly and unappealing.
