Unfortunately, I tried with the scan application that you recommended, but I failed.
The original is a curved book, so even if I set the border alignment, some parts are cut, the outside of the paper is included, or the whole shape is crooked.
I've also tried the effects of colors and shading inside the app, and they look similar to the ones before.
The most important picture quality is significantly reduced to less than half of the original.

Actually, scanning a whole book is not really possible. People who upload scans generally rip/break/disassemble the book to get a good scan, since scanning a curved surface won't help much. If you want to scan a book and still intend to keep a copy for collection purposes then it's better to buy two.

True. I've only had good scans by firmly pressing down on books and manga, then after scanning, I touch up the curves or white out shadow on curved whitespace scan. The best scans really are from breaking spines, or surgically removing pages for flat scan surface.
