Complain all you want but do you see anyone else making new quality comics of these old shows? I can't name the last Digimon Adventure doujin to come out, and I don't think there's a single decent W.I.T.C.H comic that isn't Palcomix. Would I prefer a full quality japanese doujin of mimi or sora or the rest? Yeah. But I don't see those popping up any time soon. I'm just thrilled so see someone commission something that isnt my little pony or sonic from them

I have many many many problems with Palcomix starting with simple things like rank incompetence at basic web design. As of right now they still list an update on one of their sites as having happened on "April 21thst" because the webmaster is so lazy and bad at language they literally copy pasted the update from April 1st and just changed the number without actually looking at it. I bring this up because website fuckery of this kind is extremely common, and it's representative of how slipshod and lazy this dude is when it's his primary source of income!

Besides nitpicking web design I can point to many other problems. I can mention their update schedule is abysmal. I can say any number of bad things related to their business model and their premium content including deficits in, but not limited to value for cost, frequency for cost, distribution methods, and broadly deceptive advertising. I could also bring up a number of personal interactions with the main dude behind it where he's been incredibly unprofessional, ridiculously combative and defensive, and overall self-destructive and lame. I think Palcomix sucks at business and doesn't give you good service, and the fact this is noteworthy underlines that it is a problem. And that's all before I even talk about the porn.

Palcomix proves that two people having sex is not necessarily the same thing as pornography. The overwhelming majority of stuff that comes out of that grindhouse is tame, lame, and same(-y). There's maybe 1 in 100 pictures that I might consider hot, at best, and maybe one in fifty comics. That's not good value for money when he puts out maybe 20 comics a year (including premium content), and speaking of premium content the majority of that are more interchangeable pinups with randomly chosen characters and one page of comic each week. Not worth it. Meanwhile the dude spends who knows how long making utter trash like the fucking immortal Jade Chan Rejuve thing that nobody likes but has been running for literal decades. That they stay in business at all is a testament to how far some people will go in the hopes of porn of their favorites. It's certainly why I've paid attention to them for this long, and why I made the mistake of actually spending money on them, though I can't say I'll ever make that mistake again.

That's an extremely long preamble to say that this comic is actually one of Palcomix' better ones. The cast are actually on model (unlike the current Digimon Tamers stuff leaking out from over the paywall), the sex is good, and the setup is moderately inventive and provided by someone who knows more about Digimon than what you'd get by hitting random on a wiki. I can say it's actually parody porn rather than a bunch of characters from a series having sex, and I think that may be the most backhanded compliment I've ever given.

Palcomix sucks, but very occasionally they get a commission that's good enough not even they can sterilize it, and to whoever managed to script up and commission this one in fifty hit I salute you. 4/5, at the very least I had a good time.
