Steve Clay Wilson (b. July 25, 1941), aka S. Clay Wilson, is an American cartoonist and a central figure in the world of underground comix. He was an earlier contributor to Zap Comix, an influential comics anthology which jettisoned underground comix into the limelight. His works are hyperviolent and sexually explicit, often focusing on lowlifes such as pirates and bikers.
This is an artbook featuring a lot of his drawings and thoughts on his career.
On the one hand, I want to rate this 5 stars for helping archive and preserve old, obscure underground work like this. On the other hand, I want to rate 0.5 stars because the content is super fucked up. So I'm going to abstain from rating.
