Your file sizes are too large, There are 3 fairly simple ways to optimise PNG images.

1. Use the export as png-8 in Photoshop when saving the files, rather than save as. make sure monochrome images are saved as 8-bit monochrome rather than RGB
2. Pnggauntlet. Install https://pnggauntlet.com then drag and drop files into it and start it up. Pnggauntlet is slow, so expect it to take a while on larger res files.
3. Pingo. Install PingaGUI, drag and drop files and click optimize. Pingo is much, much, much faster than Pnggauntlet.

@yetsun The files are just that fat res. I already save these under 8 bit BW PNG.
Running it through extreme lossless optimization on Pingo yielded a 5% file size reduction (to 250MB).
I'll keep it in the toolchain for the future, but I have no intention of going to lossy compression methods just to sate gallery size.
Size conscious viewers can take the 1280 torrent or apply lossy compression on their own.
