@Tonythekat: Not really dude, in JRPGs, Kobolds are furry and dog-like (just look at Polt from Monster Musume). The scaly ones are the ones from Western RPGs; as they take inspiration from D&D, where the Kobolds are reptilian.

Reptilian kobolds are also relatively new to D&D - back in the day they were pretty dog-faced. And orcs had pig-heads, which explains that bit of Japanese culture as well.

A small correction: On page 11, panel 2, the minotaur is actually referring to the kobold's virginity. So "処女じゃねえけどよ" would translate more accurately to "She's definitely not a virgin, but..."
