Anyway, good game. Costs about 10x what it should, though, so if I ever decide I want to play it on real hardware it'll be cheaper to buy a flash cart just for this single goddamn game that isn't even that uncommon. I saw three copies in a used game shop at the same time once last year, each copy priced at around $200.

@vancenick321 NO, you can't "just get the game on virtual console for cheap" Wii U and 3DS eshop won't be around forever. Nintendo already killed the original Wii shop a while back, and there is no real Virtual Console on switch. You want to play Earthbound? Better hope you still have a copy on wii, wii u, or its put on the snes online app for switch, otherwise you're emulating the game or buying a used physical copy, period.

Pg. 112 has a section called "How to get the Gutsy Bat" stating the only way to get it is by getting a rare item drop from the Kraken enemy. This is incorrect.

The Gutsy Bat drops from Bionic Krakens in the Cave of the Past level (pgs 118-119). Each one has a 1/128 chance of dropping the bat.
