Yep, it means Master, but because there are about three ways of saying master in Japanese, I kept it as Goshujin-sama, it also helped me preserve some of the original text layout since there were a couple times it says things like "Goshujin... -sama..." in the Japanese.

Nah, if they returned to normal, we'd not have Eris have the realization of just how fucked she is. She's not just witnessing a murder of personality having had played out in 3 months. She's becoming aware that the same thing will happen to her, and she's utterly powerless to do anything.

Her being left there would still be all on her hubris, but would allow her to keep having hope should random circumstances (like other heroes later) release her. Instead, like this, all she learns is that her persona is as good as dead.
