Was browsing new uploads and saw this and I just have to ask out of morbid curiosity sake: what is the appeal of this kind of guro/snuff?

I've read other snuff works and while I'm not a fan, at least in other ones it's either a "die together/noble" kind of thing, vengeance/justice (i.e. bad guy go splat), or horrible for the sake of horrible (i.e. bad guy makes others go splat and laughs about it or person gets caught by monster and dies).

Nothing here indicates that she hates her life, deserves to die, or that this will even be a "good" thing. Heck at least if she killed someone first then there'd be a crazy level of "I just wanted to make sure my genius worked before I became a part of it", but this is just... "oh hey there's a factory nearby, I'm going to build a giant machine to kill myself (or worse, found one and knew what to do and instead of reporting it she decided to hop on) by dying in arguably the most horrific and painful way possible short of drowning in acid".

One artist on another site has inventions that instantly atomize people and they die and it's all talked about like it's a test trial and it's always bad stumbling across it. Snuff that is just so clinical like this is... I'm not even sure I can say horrifying after a while it's just baffling, who actually likes reading these and why? Not judging, we're all deviants in some way, but just... I have questions.

having the machine not just immediately start when the button is pressed is a horribly inefficient design for a piece of industrial equipment. the three minutes is just bad design, and the random start within two hours after that is even worse because it means the machine could start running at any random moment, potentially injuring a worker, so not only is it inefficient, its dangerous. I honestly can't really tell you since this is honestly so tame and cartoony, and too clinical like you said. Heh, yeah, I remember when I hated guro. I went through phases, I started off by enjoying BDSM type stuff, eventually I got to where I learned of and started enjoying ryona. Eventually that lead to a desire to see non-graphic/bloodless snuff; strangling to death, hanging, neck snapping, etc. Which then evolved into actually liking a lot of gorey and bloody stuff too. Every time it was a case of thinking "okay I like this, but not anything more" until it just kept being more. The good thing is I can still enjoy all 4, they just need to be of a particular quality and style that suits me.
