Since Yamada Gogogo seems to be going more into this stuff, summing up Gogogo's lore notes for this series:
-All monsters (orcs, goblins, etc.) were elves who degenerated from getting too attached to the pleasures of the flesh.
-Elves could turn into monsters because they were half-spirit and half-mortal. Spirit part let their strong desires mutate their mind and bodies. This also let the "regular" elves be extremely intelligent, long lived, and have massive magic abilities.
-Monsters want to have sex with humans cause they instinctively believe this'll allow them to make offspring who are elves again instead of more monsters.
-Geldrolix is a mutant with the body of an orc but the intelligence and magic ability of an elf.
-Dialdro is the very first dark elf. Which here is half-orc and half-human, rather than half-spirit like the original elves.
-Elves are also the church's "Holy Spirit" (thus the elf statue). Remaining elves abandoned their bodies to become pure spirits out of fear they'd eventually turn into monsters too.
-Cursed King was probably also a degenerated elf.
-Church's abstinence policy is probably only there because elves founded it. Humans can have sex without turning into monsters though... so sorry Lydia and Sieg.

The translation of that part is kinda incorrect because that line should be an interrogative sentence. In the raw, "人間...か..." should be translated as "Are these humans?" Therefore, I don't think Dialdro is being condescending. it seems to me that the behavior of human beings or sex(?) pique her curiosity.

Eh, "人間...か..." is equally ambiguous to be honest with you. As is your suggested synonymous phrase "Are these humans?" (what kind of tone and emphasis should I use? "ARE these humans?" or "are THESE humans?" or "are these HUMANS?" Lot of ways to read it that also sound condescending). No different from "so... these are humans...", and so on. For some amusing inside baseball: I originally had "humans... huh..." but then changed it to the longer "so... these are humans..." so I could get more text coverage on the page itself while typesetting.

Given that at the end of the first story it states that she is always by his side, generation after generation, for his 500 year rule, it's highly likely she is no longer human.

I love what we got, but I feel like it’s just extra, like any further work is just going to be formulaic in the sense that it will try to recapture what the first one had. Already it’s mostly the same: elite woman with a human love interest is raped by Big Orc in a public enough way that the love interest witnesses it and despairs, love crest goes on girl, she rapidly enjoys the orc dick, and falls. It’s a good formula, but if it doesn’t change significantly enough from the first, it won’t be nearly as enjoyable. Cookie-cutter rape maidens gets boring eventually.

I feel like a backstory sequel would have been better, like the first struggle of the Orc, and learning to enthrall women before he even found the crest spell.
