Travis only went back to the bear again because he's still Travis' only available sexual outlet at the moment - the audience knows that his panther friend is gay for him, but at this point in the story Travis still believes him to be straight because his friend is hiding it. The latest page does show that Travis is getting fed up of the bear's behaviour though, since the bear wants to fuck his ass but Travis is going against his wishes and making him blow early.

The biggest problem is the potential for Travis to go back to the bear after getting with the panther because hurr durr sex, which would be awful from a narrative standpoint.
