A big reason for that is because Daron Nefcy didn't write season 4, another writer did and she's known for being the most cancerous one. Everything after the defeat of Toffee doesn't have Defcy's stamp on it.

Why does this feels so terrible? I know he's like trying to fix the show but doing it worse at some points while trying to fix it.... also, doing innuendos to other shows? that doesn't help at all

For example star is unconscious while in her mewman form the first times she transforms, because she doesn't have control over it. But in here she has control and she ends up being more of a mary sue controlling her form with no practice... I know I did said this before.... but BoringFag doing star more OP won't fix the problem.

Also forcing Marco into the magic dimension so that star saves him....? That's just as lame as S3's last episode, where everyone fell from the sky like a feather while Marco fell like a ton of rocks so that star has to save him in a "I'm here for you" shitty drama... you can feel that exact same vibe here.

Fuck, this is even worse than the original show at some points.... this only proves that when something is completely broken, you can't fix it.
