to those who aren't sure what's going on during the first page, this is taking place during the Shishi houkoudan or Lion's Roar Arc of the anime, Ranma has lost an informal match against Ryouga several times because of this technique, and Ranma figures he needs to learn that technique which is written on that scroll before he can learn how to defeat Ryouga again, thus he tries to use his girl form to get close to Ryouga and while this manga is definitely taking some liberties with what really happened it does make for an interesting alternative. XD
