This comic is really confusing... First we get a build up of Alex, complete with antagonist in the form of Brad, who comes with the bonus of an antagonist for Cassie in form of the "bimbo girlfriend".
Next Terry shows up and get the topical 'NTR-antagonist' buildup, including seemingly random out of character confrontations between Cassie and Alex to help 'smooth over' the transition into NTR.
Then we get two pages to tell us that "none of the buildup up untill the point matters", the story goes 'public use' with a focus on BBC, and Alex matters so little that his facial expression when Cassie is all over another guy isn't even shown and Terry is completely forgotten.
It seems like Marmalade Mum cannot decide what story she wants to tell, I can't wait to see how drastic the next change will be.

So, back to the character derailment of Cassie, first established as a "lovable shy geek girl", she turns down the guy she seemingly loves and who loves her because of body-issues and jumps on the bone of another guy because he made her feel desired (and possible because he's hot)... I'm guessing the point is to make people dislike Cassie, kill off any idea of "the transformation is making her behave this way", and also make Alex less relevant, so people don't expect to see him and Cassie get a 'happily ever after'.

It's the 3th flashback, and like the others, seem to be an unneeded flashback, since it takes part during the story of the first 15 pages. Then there's the fact the the whole story is told as a flashback, so it's 3 times we have had flashbacks inside a flashback.

The constant use of flashbacks to change Cassie's character makes me think the first 20 pages where written just to bring in people who would hate the rest of the story.

@Letmeinjoe09 from my point of view the writer isn't using flashbacks to tell the story, but to justify changes in the story. The current flashback is most likely meant to tell us that Cassie has always wanted to act the way she is acting now, but she was pretending to be a good girl.

I don't think the story was scripted out in advance, so when Marmalade Mum reached the point where Cassie started to transform, she had no idea how to go from there and to the horny cowgirl she is in the introduction. Terry was added as a 'corrupting influence', which caused a major backlash (because a lot of people don't like NTR), so she went for changing Cassie instead, by making all of Cassie's previously show behavior just being her "pretending" to be someone she wasn't.
Why MM didn't just go with "the transformation causes mental changes" I have no idea, it would have fit the story a lot better... but it could be either to avoid giving the story a 'bad ending', or due to patreons ToS.

Oh, now we all understand. The "turning into a cow" was just a metaphor for her teenage pregnancy and thinking of herself as a whore because of it.

If it weren't presented as grossout porn, it might even be reasonable commentary... The way it is presented it seems like the artist has serious untreated mental-health issues, being exacerbated by a group of people egging her on to self-harm in the guise of "being true to yourself" and a group of people heckling her for making a statement out of her own issues. I don't think my meta-commentary is helping any, either.

I think Marmalade Mum should do commissions for other people. Let someone else tell the story and stick to just drawing the art for it. Because the art is incredible and the story is... grammatically correct. And that's the only compliment I can muster. It seems like MarmaladeMum is playing the genre roulette, starting with a kind of sweet story involving transformation and what seems like a budding relationship, and then swerving hard into NTR, and then suddenly dropping the NTR and going into some kind of sexual liberation thing, and then doing a complete 180 flip into "actually sex is bad and I'm pregnant and I hate myself and deserve to be treated like an animal so I'm going to have more sex because I'm a good-for-nothing slut."

How the fuck are all of these in the same comic? And they're all just barely touched on, completely half-assed, and then suddenly dropped in favor of the next winner of the genre roulette. Heck, the NTR bit was so short that I'm not sure it even counts. The story dropped Alex almost as fast as Cassie did.

If only she’d kept the plot light like her Quiet comic & focused on the cowgirl sex. Also, here’s hoping that in the sequel MM doesn’t turn Alex into a femboy cow, cause she seems to enjoy that genre.

Edit: I did some digging & found out that early on she was suspended from Patreon when someone reported the comic as CP when the girl got naked for the first time. This cause MM to scrap the script mid-comic to rewrite it so she could get her page back up. She also admitted that she sorry is quite a mess.

Also, she’s started releasing part two and (at the very least) the first page of it is public.

I came back to this after looking through my favorites and thought to give it another shot, just to see if anything would hold up.

I regret that choice. The writing has only gotten worse, and seems it will continue to do so. The "pretty girl who wants to be loved" went out the window before it could even be written in. If you wanted anyone to believe that, show something that leads people to think that. Needing reaffirming that shes pretty, that he loves her. Hell just wanting a bigger bust from the start would have been fine. But the heel turn is so out there it makes no sense. On top of that, the fact she seemed to have planned it from the start? Based on something we only see in a 2 page flashback?

Its a mess, plain and simple.
