Yuuta is a longtime NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), and also has a mental disability, in which Misa goes to a clinical trial for its renumeration to pay for treatments for Yuuta.

However, this clinical trial is a risky human experiment that can be seen as a "gamble", so she prays for God's assistance so that it will go smoothly...

The experiment itself was the reset of bodily functions through the administration of medicine to the frontal lobe of the brain. It was an attempt to amplify the natural recovery abilities normally possesed by humans.
