Interesting... Compared to the x2500 variant, this has shorter images, a size of 7.28 MB less, and one less image a size of 213.4 KB or .2 MB, but it is definitely sharper despite everything else seeming to be the same. And, cmiiw, it all has to do with the scanning equipment being able to zoom to a greater resolution??
