It is a bit simpler than that. An artist will always attempt to draw something beautiful unless he has a reason to do otherwise. Same principle here. If your forced to look at something everyday what would you rather look at? Eye candy or something that looks like the result of generations of incest?

while people will generally make things look appealing, there is also a few arguments of designing them to be so sexual being unnessecary. Humanoid robots are primarily designed as such to reduce public tension when seeing them. Like, I've met kids who are afraid of fire trucks, but fire fighters are totally fine.

Making them attractive people certainly makes them more approachable, but making them so sexy seems like they were built to be sex products before whatever their intended utility was.

In-universe some of these girls were built with that in mind but to be fair nearly all of those were only available for those with money and power. In fact more than a few of the more sexier ones got discontinued because they were consistently too yandere and thus extremely dangerous. Black Lilith is a good example as is Alice and Poi.

As for the rest, interacting romantically with these flesh robots more or less has the same stigma as marrying a virtual woman. Only human trash and/or lonely decent men would even bother touching them. And even then some still wont do it.
