Hi, I was one of those that said it shouldn't have ntr tag.
The part "Also acceptable for when the story is clearly meant to invoke jealousy" of the definition used here, which I wasn't aware about applies in this work.
So I recognized my mistake about the not use of the tag. I thought the general definition of netorare was that BOTH parts was supposed to be in a relationship to be considered an netorare.
In this case MC thought she was his girlfriend after the sex, like you've said. But in any moment it was said that THEY were in relationship (at least not from her part),
which in my opinion wasn't supposed to be considered one. Have a nice day. =)

Well, when the NTR genre began it had to be your lover to be considered netorare since the word "netorare" comes from the verb "netoru" that means "to sleep with someone who is already sleeping
with someone else" as in cheating, BUT (and this is important) with the nuance of "taking".
Going by the pure meaning of what netorare means in japanese, only when someone in a relationship gets taken away it could be considered NTR, but that doesnt leave too much variety of scenarios so the authors "broadened" what could be considered as NTR by labeling their works with other scenarios, like when dudes get their crush taken by someone else or even moms or sisters, as NTR too.

I think that broadening a genre to give it new possibilities so it doesnt get stagnant is a good thing, but if you broaden it too much you might get to a point where the definition of what is and what isnt stops being clear, everyone ends up having their own opinion of what is what and the readers begin thinking that they know more about it than the authors themselves.
And this is what happened to NTR, where people talk about "types" to justify considering normal cheating or rape as NTR, which is sad.
