I didn't get the impression in the first chapter, but in the second chapter I can't help but wonder what the hell broke MC's spirit so badly to refuse her confession.
He had everything laid out for himself, a loved childhood friend, sisters who was endearing to him and yet he didn't feel he was good enough to her. If there is a 3rd chapter on the way, I'd honestly like to see what the real reason for his refusal was, but I doubt we'll see that happen.
