I enjoyed it while I was reading it, but once it was done I couldn't help but wonder about the logic of it…

The trial swap was for a month. They reunited just before the end of it. At that time he announced that he'd decided to change permanently, and that it had taken two weeks to get the appointment.

Two weeks sounds like a lot but it really isn't. It seems like the real-world equivalent would be trying to get a consultation with a medical specialist, and two weeks isn't long at all for that. Therefore, magical transformations seem to be as common and accessible in the "Bay City" setting as mid-range medical treatments are in the real world (at least in a relatively wealthy and industrialized country). More than a prescription, but less than major surgery.

So I gotta ask, why didn't he do this before? If he was so desperate to recapture the feeling of being a woman, why didn't he just spend the money and get the transformation on his own? It can't be *that* expensive if he could afford it on a makeup artist's salary and probably limited savings.

The only reason I can think of — and this also explains the practical need for head swapping — is that a full-body transformation is once in a lifetime and irreversible. Even if he could do it on his salary and in one easy appointment, he wasn't absolutely sure that he wanted to take that last step.

If this is true, fine, but it would help to make it explicit. It would make his dilemma, and the emotional journey he goes through, more significant.

Unfortunately, making such transformations irreversible might contradict other stories in the "Bay City" setting, so…

I guess my point is that if you're going to make your "Bay City" setting a regular thing, you should hammer out the rules of your magic system. Do the world building. It's worth the effort, even for stories like this.

I like the special effect part. For me, the magic isn't real. But special-fx makeup is something we can actually pursuit.

Get bent. The whole point of the story is that HE didn't really know what HE wanted until AFTER they did the trial swap, and that's what I was commenting on. What part of "dilemma" did you not understand? I was trying reconcile the story with the setting: if he identified as a woman from the beginning, and magic is so easy and accessible in that setting, then there is no story.

It's people like you mindlessly bleating "Transphobe!" and "Muh pronouns!" that makes this stuff so radioactive. The rest of us are just trying to figure out why we find it arousing. Next thing we know, you'll be kink-shaming us, too. Do you really want to be that person? Do you even know what site you're on?

Such a disappointment, got hyped for it thinking it was a Head Swap comic since any content for it is so rare that I went out of my way to get it, only to get dissapointed with the final thing, and the only previews didn't even mention a full transformation, it's just the cover art which is pretty misleading of where the story went.

@IngmarS SPeaking as as trans woman, the blonde girl is very clearly a trans girl who was on the right track but hadn't 100% figured out for sure yet at the start of the story. Loads of trans people are aware that options for transition exist, but don't pursue them for a long time because, get ready for this, not everyone knows for sure that they're trans until well into adulthood, let alone exactly what they're going to do about it and then actually DOING it if they even have that option.

And FYI, people who don't have weird issues with trans people don't get butthurt about folks using "Transphobia" as a description towards someone demonstrating a shitty attitude towards trans people. That's just using words correctly.
