I think that at this point Alfie still has to realize that fucking for fun is not the only sex existent but that "making love with the person you love" exists too. She experienced that with Ozge but she was unable to correctly elaborate the thing... after all what kind of relantionships she saw during her short life? Her parents had no love at all for each other: no joy, only regrets and spite. Her best friend was an adulterous slut. Marco is not a bad person but is very carefree. Alfie is getting mad at someone in the literal same position as her but worse. Alfie chose to throw stuff at the adulterer in town, meaning she is far worse than Hana. Hana became how she was after being used and abused and adopted her new persona in the new life she was pushed into in response to her trauma. Alfie is just a shitty coward that gets swept up in her desire to not be outed. Hana got wooed by a nonhuman that seems to have turned out to be a decent guy and made love to him. Alfie is just a pervert that's completely ashamed of herself, and can't stop dragging her clit over everything that moves, then lying about it.

Hana may be a hypocrite, but she's been forced into the role. Alfie wasn't forced into her hypocrisy, she caved because she wanted the approval of a lot of people she didn't even like more than her friends. Alfie is the shittiest person in this story by a country mile.

Hana's trauma was a sudden one, but Alfie sustained trauma over a long period of time, in the form of her parents' bickering and of being a free spirit in a town full of prudes. Most people in her position would get caught up in the culture, and it's simply not her fault. Now that she's becoming more self-aware, if she continues her behavior, THEN you can call her a shitty person, but at this point in time, she's only just starting to wake up and see the consequences to people beyond herself.

I have no idea if Alfie's story is too emotionally driven or if she is being too incompetent for someone who's "good at reading others" but i find myself gravitating more and more towards Vera's story, although messy at times, it does seem to have a better pace and a clearer goal... oh yeah, Alfie's story sometimes seems to be lol sex while also trying to take itself seriously.

Man, this comic is turning into a bummer to read.

Now I like drama in a comic but generally, you should know what you're getting from the get-go. A serious comic is going to be heavy on the drama or dramatic stakes from the get-go, even if it has nudity or sex. Look at Sandman or Saga or Berserk or Battle Royale. So the reader expects drama.

But this was a fun porny read with some plot and engaging characters. Now it's drama drama drama non-stop drama and backstabbing. What happened?

Call me racist, but western porn artists don't know how to write nor finish a story for shit. They start nice with self contained stories then try to "be more mature" or "tell a more complex story" then they just keep going and going and going for years because they make like one/two pages a month. This whole drama shit has been going on for what now? 3 years? Same thing with Lewdua, her characters broke up like 3-4 years ago and still nothing is clear and she just keep making new characters randomly. Meanwhile look at Doujin artists, one two full books per year with full stories or smaller ones with small and quick stories. I dunno if western artists just have the attention or focus span of a bird or they do it just to milk Patreons. But either way shits awful.

I agree that short and sweet or self-contained is much easier to write for porn stuff (and often much more satisfying to read.) I 100% think that Incase's short porn comics are excellent reads!
Doujins also have an editor (if they're done by a publisher) and editors really help - there's someone to direct and advise. A lot of comics (non-porno obviously) from places like Image also ramble (once they get enough of a fan base to stay in print) cos there's limited editorial oversight for the creators.

So, it's been almost a month since any posts from InCase and I'm beginning to wonder if he pulled a "Tracy Butler" on us. (Tracy Butler is the creator of the Lackadaisy Cats comic and who hasn't posted any comic updates in over two years without any word, notice or reasons why. Also, could this be yet another example of "Prequel" happening, again? The guy who does Prequel just walked away from it without so much as a boo to anyone, thus showing that they really don't care about their fan base at all.) In B4 "He's suffering burn out". Uh... Several years ago I advised InCase to slow down and not produce so much in so short a time. His response: "Oh, it's okay! I can handle it!" Funny how it's always famous last words. Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see but considering how many "cartoon artists" just drop their shit and never finish it (about 75 percent on this site) I'm not holding my breath.
