To be fair, the doctor did say that the infertility issue stems from azoospermia (lack of sperm in the ejaculate), meaning that the problem stems from the man's end and not the woman's. It doesn't change anything about how silly the premise is tho

If you *really* wanted to push it, you could even say that the doctor's solution wouldn't be entirely unrealistic assuming that the man's sperm was unsalvageable and if laws regarding altering human gametes were strict as ever but somehow lenient enough to let a couple do what happens here. But then I don't see why the doctor couldn't just remove the man's genitals and grow him another set so ¯_(ツ)_/¯
